今天我把《简爱》这本书看完了，使我感受颇深。它主要讲述了简爱与罗切斯特之间一波三折的故事，塑造出了一个追求自由、平等、不向命运屈服的坚强女性。
主人公简爱从小寄人篱下在舅舅家生活，但舅妈嫌弃她，骂她、打她、不给她饭吃，表姐和表哥也经常欺负她，总是用一种有色目光看她、羞辱她，可小简爱并没有对生命失去希望，没有自我摧毁，没有沉沦在所带来不幸的一切中。相反小简爱换回了无限信心，坚强不屈的精神，一种可战胜的内在人格力量。
不久，简爱被送到了女子学校，可舅妈与施主罗可赫斯特不但当着全校师生的面诋毁她，而且把她置于耻辱台上示众。使她在全校师生面前丢尽了脸，但简爱仍坚强不屈，化悲愤为力量，不但在学习上飞速进步，而且也取得了师生们的理解。
之后，简爱当了罗切斯特家的家庭教师。在罗切斯特面前，她从不因为自己是一个地位低贱的家庭教师而感到自卑。她认为她们是平等的，不应该因为她是仆人而不受别人的尊重。也正因为她的正直、高尚、纯洁，心灵没有受到世俗社会的污染，使罗切斯特深深的爱上了她。他的真心让简爱感动也接受了他，在爱情方面，简爱在情敌面前显示出大家闺秀风范，对于英格拉姆的咄咄逼人，她从容面对。后来，简爱发现罗切斯特有妻子，自己破坏了别人的`家庭，毅然决然的离开了罗切斯特。
最后，简爱得知罗切斯特为了拯救在火中的妻子不幸双目失明，身体严重残疾，甚至丧失了自理能力，同时又妻亡财损，简爱全身心的再一次投入了他的怀抱………
