前不久，学区组织各科教师录制了常态课，我们英语组每位教师都积极参与，相互交流自己的看法，不仅总结出了很多好的做法，还发现了许多不足之处，也找到了今后努力的方向。
一、不足之处：
1、教师发音不准，课上使用英语少。
2、教师讲的多，学生练的少，没有充分利用电教手段。
3、学生对英语缺乏兴趣，口语交际能力差。
4、教师工作量繁重，常常会顾此失彼。
小学英语师资严重匮乏，英语教师工作量过重。每个英语老师任教3―4个班，周课时15―20节，并且要跨3―4个年级，班容量一般都在50人以上。设想这种状态下的教学如何谈质量？殊不知英语教师要忙于应付每天的日常工作：自制卡片、教具、大量的练习册批改等工作，还能剩多少时间和精力去研究教材、研究学生？还能有多少时间去反思自己的教学？班容量如此之大严重影响了英语活动的开展，限制了学生参与语言实践的机会，几乎每一位教师要教３００人以上，课后的补差工作又从何下手？
5、学生缺乏吃苦精神，学习兴趣不能持久。
在小学英语课堂上，我们始终感到热闹有余，但学习效果却不尽如人意。初学英语感到很有趣，学生的求知欲旺盛，靠机械的记忆还可应付，但久而久之，单词越学越多，学生又得记读音，又得记拼写，还得背句型。有的同学顾此失彼，由学不会到不愿意学，失去了兴趣，放弃了英语学习。究其原因，学生缺乏吃苦精神，他们只对游戏活动感兴趣，只要老师布Z背单词、读课文、听录音等任务时，学生的热情就荡然无存。英语学习本来就无什么捷径可走，要掌握英语基础知识就得死记硬背，可学生缺乏持之以恒的毅力。

间进行谈话交流，多数情况下是因为谈话双方之间存在信息差，彼此都想了解对方的信息，从而产生了交流的愿望和想法。英语教学也一样，要想让学生运用英语进行有意义的对话交流，就必须在会话双方之间制造信息差，使他们之间产生想从对方了解有关信息的迫切愿望的需求，产生开口讲英语的动机。有了信息差，他们之间的交流才是在真实语境中进行的有意义的交流，这样，学生之间的交流才能达到运用语言的目的。
二、努力方向：
1、培养兴趣，调动学生积极性。
刚刚接触英语的小学生，听着那些叽里咕噜的英语，看着那些蝌蚪队的文字，常常被深深的吸引住，这是英语本身的外在特点吸引了他们，让他们好奇、兴奋。人微言轻英语教师要根据学生的心理和生理特点，设计一系列的教学活动来激发学生的兴趣。如游戏、竞赛、绘画、唱歌等。这些活动不但能消除学生的紧张情绪，活跃课堂气氛，而且能引发学生对语言学习的直接反馈，有利于化难为易，从而减轻学生负担，让学生在玩中学，乐中学，由被动接受知识转化为主动运用知识，主动探索，从而发展创造性思维。
2、提高学生的口语交际能力。
英语教学的目的就是培养学生运用英语的能力。这种能力只有在使用中才能得以提高，语言是练会的，而不是学会的。因此，我们英语教师在教学中应尽可能多的用英语组织课堂教学，千方百计地创设各种语言情境，从而大大加深学生对所学语言的理解和运用。
3、加强学习，提高自身素质。
