Nothing succeeds like confidence. When you are truly confident,it radiates from you like sunlight, and attracts success to you like a magnet.
It's important to believe in yourself.Believe that you can do it under any circumstances, because if you believe you can, then you really will. The belief keeps you searching for answers, which means that pretty soon you will get them.
Confidence is more than an attitude. It comes from knowing exactly where you are going and exactly how you are going to get there. It comes from acting with integrity and confidence. It comes from a strong sense of purpose. It comes from a strong commitment to take responsibility, rather than just letting life happen.
One way to develop self-confidence is to do the thing you fear and to get a record of successful experiences behind you.
Confidence is compassionate and understanding. It is not arrogant.Arrogance is born out of fear and insecurity, while confidence comes from strength and integrity.
Confidence is not just believing you can do it.Confidence is knowing you can do it.Know that you are capable of accomplish anything you want, and live your life with confidence.
Anything can be achieved through focused, determined effort and self-confidence.If your life is not what you want it to be,you have the power to change it,and you must make the changes on a moment by moment basis.Live your priorities.Live with your goals and your plan of action.Live each moment with your priorities in mind.Act with your own purpose, and you will have the life you want.
good morning,ladies and gentlemen:
today im very happy to be here to share with you some of my thoughts on the topic of globalization.and first of all,i would like to mention an event in our recent history.
thirty years ago, american president richard nixon made an epoch making visit to china,a country still isolated at that time.premier zhou enlai said to him,"your handshake came over the vastest ocean in the world twenty five years of no communication." ever since then, china and america have exchanged many handshakes of various kinds.the fundamental implication of this example is that the need and desire to communicate across differences in culture and ideology is not only felt by the two countries but by many other nations as well.
as we can see today, environmentalists from different countries are making joint efforts to address the issue of global warming, economists are seeking solutions to financial crises that rage in a particular region but nonetheless cripple the worlds economy, and diplomats and politicians are getting together to discuss the issue of combating terrorism.peace and prosperity has become a common goal that we are striving for all over the world.underlying this mighty trend of globalization is the echo of e.m.forsters words,"only connect!"
with the it revolution taking place, traditional boundaries of human society fall away.our culture, politics, society and commerce are being sloshed into a large melting pot of humanity.in this interlinked world, there are no outsiders, for a disturbance in one place is likely to impact other parts of the globe.we have begun to realize that a world divided cannot endure.
china is now actively integrating into the world.our recent entry to the wto is a good example.for decades,we have taken pride in being self reliant, but now we realize the importance of participating in and contributing to a broader economic order.from the precarious role in the world arena to our present wto membership,we have come a long way.
but what does the way ahead look like? in some parts of the world people are demonstrating against globalization.are they justified then,in criticizing the globalizing world? instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, they say, globalization enables developed nations to swallow the developing nations wealth in debts and interest.globalization, they argue, should be about an earnest interest in every other nations economic health.
we are reminded by karl marx that capital goes beyond national borders and eludes control from any other entity.this has become a reality.multinational corporations are seeking the lowest cost, the largest market, and the most favorable policy.they are often powerful lobbyists in government decision making, ruthless expansionists in the global market place and a devastating presence to local businesses.
for china, still more challenges exist.how are we going to ensure a smooth transition from the planned economy to a market based one? how to construct a legal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of a dynamic society? how to maintain our cultural identity in an increasingly homogeneous world? and how to define greatness in our rise as a peace loving nation? globalization entails questions that concern us all.
like many young people my age in china,i want to see my country get prosperous and enjoying respect in the international community.but it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough.it is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues.and, there might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges coming our way.and this is also one of the thoughts that came to me while preparing this speech.thank you.
I like to take pictures so much when I go to the different place I will ask my parents to take picture for me. Taking picture helps me record my life. I want to see what has happened to me when I look back at my life when I grow up.
I want to record the beautiful moment. When I see these pictures in the future I will be smiling. All of these wonderful memories will fulfill my life. My mother has bought me a camera so that I can take pictures any time. I am so thankful to her I hope I can use this camera to record the happy time of my family.
in our daily lives,we have many choices to make, such as what to eat for supper, what clothes to wear,or what to do on weekends.at certain times in our lives,we need to make even more critical choices, such as which school to attend, what job to take or who to choose as husband or wife.yes, life is a matter of choice.seemimgly,it means a choice of tangible things.but in essence,it means choosing a way of life.life is to be lived, savored, and enjoyed, not to be wasted or complained about.
hardly can we forget the time when our society faced the grave threat from the life and death disease sars.yet, even during those dreadful times, some afflicted people remained optimistic.instead of wearing neutral white masks, some people turned to colouful ones, and thus display a happy mood.and some creative people dubbed sars to mean "smile and remain smiling." i was deeply touched by their optimisim, nearly forgetting that were still in a battle.people who survive these kinds of circumstances,(at some point)decide in their minds to carry on in spite of the overwhelming odds.
laid off workers, typically regarded as the victims of economic advancement, are subject to desperation that being unmeployed has brought on them.but, encouragingly,we have witnessed some of them striving hard to rebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstrating their values.
although we cannot choose our appearance, inborn gifts and even avoid unexpected disasters and adversities,we do have the privilege to choose to live optimistcally,to love our lives,to have dreams, and to cherish hopes.
every morning when we get up,we have a choice of how we want to approach life that day.as for me,i choose to be cheerful.
Keep Your Direction 坚持你的方向
What would you do if you failed? Many people may choose to give up. However, the surest way to success is to keep your direction and stick to your goal.
On your way to success, you must keep your direction. It is just like a lamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overcome obstacles on your way. Otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead.
Direction means objectives. You can get nowhere without an objective in life.
You can try to write your objective on paper and make some plans to achieve it. In this way, you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your time properly. And you should also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as long as you keep your direction all the time.
