We all have a common home. She provides us with enough food, enough water and enough living room. We get everything from the nature to live better, but we donnot do anything to protect her. How the air is polluted; the earth is poisoned; water is unsafe to drink and rubbish is burying the civilization that man owns.
Our environment is being polluted faster than nature and man's present efforts can prevent. Time is bringing us more people, and more people will bring us more industry. So many trees will be cut down, and more large cities will be set up. Lots of waste material, in return, is produced and harms the environment. So some experts declare that the balance of nature is being upset, so that the very survival of man is in danger.
How can we solve this problem? The answer is that we must control the speed of growing people, forbid everyone to cut down trees and pour waste water into rivers and so on.
If we achieve this, the environment will turn very clean, and our future will be full of happiness.
Dear,
All across America C at family gatherings, in social settings and workplaces, on college campuses, and certainly on social media, Americans are losing the ability to conduct civil and productive dialogue with those who hold different political views.
And that has profound effect…profound implications for our ability to function as a society. After all, when you can’t talk with one another, you can’t understand one another. When we can’t understand one another, we can’t work together. When we can’t work together, we can’t do anything, at least not anything big and important.
We face a lot of hard challenges in America today C from climate change to gun violence, to failing schools to the opioid epidemic, and on campuses, from the frightening trend towards racism, sexism, hatred, anti-Semitism and intolerance of unpopular views and opinions.
To have any hope of overcoming these challenges, we have to start by reclaiming our civic dialogue from those who are debasing and degrading it C and preventing us from getting things done.
All of you can help do that C no matter what your politics are and no matter what line of work you pursue later on. Maybe your passion is science or education, or the arts or education, or medicine or health care, or business. There is not a single issue that isn’t affected by political debates. And there is not a single issue that isn’t threatened by the breakdown in our civic discourse.
Dear,
This is a principle which must be upheld without any , I wish to report to you that my talks with the government have been aimed at normalizing the political situation in the country. We have not as yet begun discussing the basic demands of the struggle. I wish to stress that I myself have at no time entered into negotiations about the future of our country except to insist on a meeting between the ANC and the has gone further than any other Nationalist President in taking real steps to normalize the situation. However, there are further steps, as outlined in the Harare Declaration, that have to be met before negotiations on the basic demands of our people can begin.
Negotiations cannot take place ― Negotiations cannot take place above the heads or behind the backs of our people. It is our belief that the future of our country can only be determined by a body which is democratically elected on a nonacial basis. Negotiations on the dismantling of apartheid will have to address the overwhelming demands of our people for a democratic, nonacial and unitary South Africa. And this reality is that we are still suffering under the policies of the Nationalist , so that the process towards democracy is rapid and uninterrupted. We have waited too long for our freedom. We can no longer wait.
Now is the time to intensify the struggle on all fronts. To relax our efforts now would be a mistake which generations to come will not be able to role in a united democratic and nonracial South Africa is the only way to peace and racial harmony. In conclusion, I wish to quote my own words during my trial in 19xx. They are as true today as they were then. I spoke: I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and ― and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.
Dear,
good evening, honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen.
it’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech―change the world, change ourselves.
it’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.
frankly speaking, i don’t quite agree with them.indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples).but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture. there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc. on the other hand, the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. overwhelmed by such a trend, chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.
with the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. we are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth.the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no. what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us.
at last i’d like to share a famouse saying of gandhi with all of you ,that is:if you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.”
Different people have different attitudes when faceing the samesituation,as we saw in the screen above. When a bottle of drink was dropped onthe floor accidentally, one person stood still and said bitterly:"all over!" Theother man rushed to pick up the bottle and was happy to say:"Fortunately leftsome!"
If you chose,I believe, you must want to become friends with the secondperson who picked up the bottle. So do I.Several reasons can explain myview.First, those person used to find the bright side of life and share hishappiness with the people around him.Second,we often say:"Personality determinesyour success or failure."This is true of the fact. For people who areoptimistic, they thought first is how to solve the problem instead of complainingwhen a bad situation. Third, optimism conducive to mental and physicalhealth.Optimists do not care about gains and losses. So,they are always able toaccommodate someones fault, thus bear with themselves. In short, an optimist isalways received surprise by himself.
Who is the happiest person in the world? Yes, it is the optimist. Do yousee the glass as half-full rather than hall empty? The two different answers tothe question represent two different attitudes towards life -- optimisticattitude and pessimistic attitude.
Optimism always leads to happiness, health and success while pessimism, bycontrast, results in hopelessness, sickness and failure. Thats becauseoptimists and pessimists deal with the same challenges and disappointments invery different ways. When things go wong the pessimist tends to blame himsell, while the optimist looks for loop holes. The optimist feels in control of hisoval life. If things are going badly, he acts quickly, looking for solutions, forming a new plan of action, and seeking for advice. On the contrary, thepessimist yields to the arrangement of fate and moves slowly. He doesnt seekadvice, since he assumes nothing can be done. Most people are a mix of optimismand pessimism. Optimism is important in all aspects of our lives. If you canchange your mind from pessimism to optimism, you can change your life.
Although, you are my adversary. But, you are not my enemy, you will give me strength, your resistance to make me strong, your spirit ennobles me... Thank you, my rival! Because of you, only then has taught me to cherish! Because of you, makes me beyond yourself!
This is the Olympic spirit, is the explanation of real competition. The arena of the race, you value in life requires the existence of rival makes sense, can be realized. No opponent, life would be boring; No opponent, success will lose should have a sense of achievement.
You are "top players" in study. Because of you, I desire to burst out for the first. So I work harder, more hard work. Though, I can't decide the outcome of the last, but my grades have been beyond my imagination, to my satisfaction. Thank you, my opponent! Because of you, make me to answer out of a satisfactory answer!
