大家好！
我十分荣幸能作为这次演讲的学生代表在此给大家做演讲，我这次的演讲的主题是：“爱护校园环境，从我做起”。
亲爱的同学们，我们每班都会有各自负责的环境区卫生，可是呢，每天早上我们辛辛苦苦搞的卫生，不到半天就变得一团糟，就比如我所在的高二（xx）班，所负责的环境区就是学校西校门口的卫生，校门口是一所学校的脸面，别人看到我们校门口的卫生都这么的差了，会怎么想？一定会认为我们学校里面会更差，但是你们有爱护校园环境的意识吗？你们并没有，你们在进入校园前，肆无忌惮对我扔垃圾，归校的时候，有的同学走着走着快到垃圾攥在手上忘扔了，也立马要扔在校门口外面，因为你有理由，所以老师不会说你，此时此刻我想请问各位值班的老师，难道老师的'职责仅仅是教书育人吗？学生的行为规范就置之不理了？我觉得在学习知识前，就应该先学会做人，如果我们学校的同学都能养成不乱扔垃圾的好习惯，那我们值日搞卫生的我估计一分钟就能把卫生搞定。
你永远想象不到我们那些负责难清理的环境区的班级，每天早上得花多长的时间搞卫生，就每个班那样的垃圾篓，我们平均每天得装4次，才能搞干净，你们不要觉得我夸大其词了，不相信的同学，每天早上可以去观摩一下，看看校门口两边的灌木丛被你们隐藏了多少白色垃圾，这也是我最想不明白的地方，你说你没有保护环境的意识吧，扔地上就扔地上吧，但是他还要脸面，不想被大家看到他扔，所以扔到那里面藏起来，你既然知道这是一件不对的事情，为什么就不能走两步扔到垃圾桶里面呢。还有的同学虽说他想扔到垃圾桶里去的，但是他不想走，所以他站的多远，他就从多远开始扔，扔不扔的中无所谓，但多数都是不中的，所以你可以看到学校的每个垃圾桶周围垃圾遍地都是。
所以说保护校园环境的最直接有效的办法，就是让大家明白垃圾不随手扔，校园自然美丽，我们班早就开始实行垃圾分类的知识班会，宣传到每个人身上，我们班还有一句关于爱护环境的口号：“你不扔我不扔，校园垃圾从哪来产生”。我在此跟校领导申请，每周2下午的班会主题改为爱护校园环境，可以从事例上，视频上让大家知道我们现在地球的环境是多么严峻的一个状态，我们现在还只是在学校，我们就应该在学校的时候就养成这样的好习惯，爱护校园环境，从我做起！

Ladies and gentlemen,
It is undeniable that the worsening environment hasbecome the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in themfromfactories. It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.
Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development. But I do not think that this argument is valid. After all, what is the point of economic growth if people’s lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution?
There is plenty of evidence to show that sustainable development can be achieved by balancing economic growth with protection of the environment. The key to achieving this is to make people aware of the seriousness of the problem. Both governments and ordinary citizens should join hands to make this world a better place to live in, not only for ourselves, but also for future generations.
